We’ve all been there. You’re out experiencing all the thrills and excitement a trip to the supermarket has to offer, and then it hits you – your team is playing on the telly and you forgot to set the game to record. Talk about an own goal.
But what if we told you all is not lost? The Virgin TV Control app allows you to set up, manage and even delete recordings on your Virgin TV V6 or TiVo® box from anywhere you might find yourself, meaning you won’t miss a single second of the match.
And if your Android or iOS device is connected to the same home network as your box, you can even use it as an advanced remote control! This means you can search for shows using a QWERTY keyboard – a much faster way of finding the live, Catch Up or On Demand show you’re after – and launch them straight onto your TV screen from within the app. You can even change the channel from another room to thoroughly confuse your partner/housemates/children.
If you’ve got a Virgin TV V6 box, you can use the app to watch selected recordings while connected to your home WiFi. You can even download them at home and then watch them through the app while on the go!

How to get Virgin TV Control
1. Open your app store on your phone or tablet.
2. Search for Virgin TV Control and download our app to your device.
3. Sign in with My Virgin Media username and password.

TV channels: Channels, content and features available depend on your chosen package. Channel line-ups and content are subject to change at any time and to regional variations.
HD: HD TV set, V HD Box, TiVo box or Virgin TV V6 connected with HDMI cables required for HD channels. Number of inclusive HD channels depends on package.
TV Go and TV Control: Content available to view depends on TV package. Not all live channels or on demand content from relevant pack available. Streaming live channels or on demand and TV box management require broadband/WiFi or 3G/4G internet connection. 3G/4G usage may incur data charges from your mobile provider. Streaming live channels or on demand and downloading are UK only (or while temporarily in EU). Maximum 2 devices per account can watch TV on TV Go. Access TV Go via PC, Mac or TV Go app (selected iOS, Android & Windows 10 devices only). Access TV Control via TV Control app (selected iOS, Android & Fire devices only). TV Control requires TiVo or Virgin TV V6 set top box.
