Kelly uses perks of fame
Kelly Clarkson Kelly Clarkson loves using her celebrity status to get tables in restaurants.
The Breakaway hitmaker insists she would feel like a 'tool' if she called a venue to make a booking for herself but is happy to have her assistant arrange things for her.
She said: 'I do love it when you call a restaurant and they're booked, then you have an assistant call, dropping your name, and somehow a table is found.
'I've never dropped it myself though, I'd feel like a tool.'
However, Kelly - who shot to fame after winning TV talent show American Idol in 2002 - insists she never goes out of her way to be noticed by anyone and can't understand why some celebrities enjoy being spotted so much.
She told Closer magazine: 'I laugh at people who go to places just to be seen. At the start, I was told I should do that too but it's fake and ridiculous to me, I don't understand it.'
