Will Young wants to take a career break.

The singer-and-actor would love to take a year off work, but is too busy so is trying to schedule a three-month holiday, though he admits he is astonished by how "lazy" he gets after a few days off.

He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: 'I want to take three months off at least. Ideally, I want to take a year off, but I don't know if I can, so three months.

'I absolutely love taking time off. It's really important. After a few days off, it's amazing how lazy you can become. It's slightly terrifying. I used to have a problem switching off, but now I don't have a problem at all.'

While he enjoys being lazy, the Come On singer also wants to use his time off to visit new places and return to some of his favourite destinations.

He explained: 'I like travelling, I like going to see different places, so it's still interesting. My favourite continent is Africa. I think the people of the Cameroon are amazing and beautiful. Namibia is stunning, and Mozambique is really beautiful, so it would be hard to pick between those three. They're just amazing people in Africa. I'm hoping to go again. There's something really magical about Africa.

'I want to go whale watching, I think it would be amazing. I want to see the Northern Lights, but I don't know if I'll get chance because you've only got until March so I don't know if I'll have time. I want to do one trip to somewhere, Scandinavia, the Arctic, that sort of area.'
