Well, 53 to be precise. Chopra’s acting debut came in 2002, and she’s gone on to forge a prolific career in her native India, where she’s mega famous.

She won the Best Actress award at the 2008 National Film Awards, which is Bollywood’s version of the Oscars.
4. She’s not just an actress
The multitalented Chopra has released three singles, working with the likes of will.i.am and Pitbull. Oh, and she’s also turned her hand to journalism, penning columns for the Hindustan Times, The Guardian and Elle.com.
5. You’ll be seeing a lot more of her
She’ll be making a big splash next year in the Baywatch film, competing for screen time with Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron’s abs.
6. She’s won Miss World!
That’s right, Chopra took the coveted crown in 2000, at the age of 18, seeing off her fellow contestants to become the first Miss World of the noughties. For those interested in random cultural details, it was held at the Millennium Dome in London and S Club 7 provided some of the entertainment.
7. She’s been an elephant
Sort of. Chopra voiced a life-sized robotic elephant called Ellie for a PETA campaign highlighting the captivity of the animals. As you do.

Her role in Quantico is no ordinary acting part, because it means she’s the first South Asian woman to play the lead in an American network television series.
