On Sunday 1st May we took a bunch of Leicester City superfans and club legends up to Old Trafford. And because we do things in style, we did it all in a bright red Virgin Media bus. Want to see what happened – especially after that result in Manchester? Course you do.
7am: All smiles at the King Power
These days, King Power Stadium’s a pretty happy place to be. Even at 7am. We rocked up in our gleaming #AllTheFootball kitted-out fun bus to collect our amped Leicester City fans, and club legend Gerry Taggart (who made 117 appearances for the club). Claudio Ranieri himself said his team needed to “make a perfect game”, and it was certainly looking to be a perfect day.
8am: All frowns at the King Power
Perfect, until the bus broke down, taking those smiles with it. Luckily a mechanic in a high-vis came out to save day. A mechanic who just happened to be Steve Walsh (369 appearances over 14 years for LCFC). We faked the whole thing! Mwahaha! With the engine (and smiles) back on, we hit the road.
10am-1pm: We got you involved
In a seminal Twitter poll, 568 of you said you’d rather see Leicester City win the league than Gary Lineker in his pants. Then our LCFC club icons fielded your questions as we conducted a fan-to-legend Q&A sesh live on Periscope. With over 4,000 of you tuned in on Twitter and an extra 7,000 watching live action over Facebook, we arrived at Old Trafford knowing Steve Walsh and Gerry Taggart a little better.
4pm-8:30pm: We celebrated a top-notch day
The spirits of our Leicester City superfans and club legends were in the sky after a resilient 1-1 draw at one of the toughest grounds to visit in the country, if not the world. We got some great opinions on the match from both sets of fans before heading back towards the King Power Stadium. There, a #VardyParty awaited any that were willing. Or, in the case of our fun bus, a party for Gerry Taggart’s mum’s birthday - who said our fans’ rendition of Happy Birthday was “very special”. Hmm.
Back at the King Power, we waved goodbye to our motley crew after what had been an amazing day.
Thanks to everyone who got involved and a massive congrats to Leicester City on officially winning the league on Monday.
Only we give you all the sport on BT Sport and Sky Sports in one package. That’s why we’ve got #AllTheFootball.

These lower league footballers could also shake up the Barclays Premier League party…
