X-Men: Apocalypse is landing on our small screens (watch it now on Virgin Movies) and boy, are we glad to see the super-team again.   But even supers make mistakes, as the all of the bloopers online show.  And we’ve got to say; the X-Men ones are pretty legendary. Let’s take a look at some of our most favourite bloopers of the series thus far:

1. Let’s talk about those leather suits (X-Men, 2000)

We declare this clip to be the most adorable thing ever. Is there anything as much fun as watching the cast joke around and complain about how horribly uncomfortable their superhero suits are?

2. J-Law making faces (X-Men: Days of Future Past, 2014)

Any blooper reel featuring Jennifer Lawrence is bound to be great stuff, and this one does not disappoint. There are, of course, a fair number of shots of her making her legendary funny faces, as well as her great acting moment totally ruined by her costume making silly noises.

3. Storm’s victory dance (X-Men: Days of Future Past, 2014)

Storm and Logan’s random passionate kiss is hilarious, though it is promptly bested by Halle Berry’s whoop and dance after the two split off.

4. The plane and the Star Wars puns (X-Men: Days of Future Past, 2014)

Next up on this Days of Future Past reel is Michael Fassbender forgetting his lines (skip to 01:42) in a dramatic plane scene (which also looks rather funny because sans special effects, James McAvoy’s fall comes across as really fake). In the meantime Hugh Jackman decides to mix up film universes and declares to the camera, deadpan ‘Luke, you’re our only hope.’

5. Um, Hi Spiderman? (X-Men, 2000)

The X-Men walk slowly through a villain’s lair, trying to avoid notice… and all of a sudden, Spidey turns up in the background. The contrast between Spiderman’s cheerful demeanour and the X-Men’s intense expressions is brilliant, just as is the cast’s reaction when they notice the intruder. Best. Set. Prank. Ever.

6. The fighting tutorial (X-Men, 2000)

The image quality in this clip isn’t great, but you’ll get a glimpse of Hugh Jackman and Rebecca Romijn-Stamos practicing their fight moves ahead of a take. We love their little side dance, Jackman’s advice to his co-star, and the kid’s (who is this kid?) hilarious coaching. It’s really priceless stuff.

7. Ice Man and Kitty Pryde (X-Men: The Last Stand, 2006)

Ellen Page and Shawn Ashmore are up to no good at all in these behind-the-scenes clips, whether it’s at Professor X’s funeral, or while ice-skating outside the X-Mansion.

8. Deadpool interviews Wolverine (X-Men Origins: Wolverine/Eddie the Eagle?)

Okay, okay, so this isn’t strictly a blooper reel, but we simply couldn’t leave out this Ryan Reynolds on Hugh Jackman interview. While the encounter was set up to promote Jackman’s new film Eddie the Eagle, Deadpool and Wolverine get awesomely side-tracked onto a whole bunch of X-Men jokes. (The two co-starred as their respective characters in X-Men Origins: Wolverine).
