Unbreakable sequel, Glass, set for 2019by Simon Brew

M Night Shyamalan confirms that his next film is the long-awaited Unbreakable sequel...

M Night Shyamalan is finally returning to one of his best films, nearly 20 years after it was first released. Unbreakable, starring Bruce Willis and Samuel L Jackson, remains a Shyamalan highpoint, and there’s been chatter about a possible sequel for many years. However, after all this time, it’s now been confirmed that it’s the writer-director’s next film.

The new movie will go by the name of Glass, and Shyamalan has recruited a cast that includes Bruce Willis, Samuel L Jackson, James McAvoy and Anya Taylor-Joy.

The film will also tie in an element or two from Split. Furthermore, Shyamalan is making the film with Blumhouse Productions and Jason Blum, home to his last two features, The Visit and Split, both of which proved to be very handsome hits.

Universal Pictures is set to release Glass, and a release date has been confirmed: January 18th 2019.

Shyamalan announced all of this via his Twitter feed, incidentally. You can find that here, but note if you’re not up to date on the Shyamalan movie universe, it may be just a little spoiler-y…
