Mirror, mirror on the wall, which is the biggest road cycling race of them all? The answer is the Tour de France, and for most of July Britain’s Chris Froome will be going all out to win his third consecutive Yellow Jersey. The battle begins this Saturday with a thrilling 13km dash around the German city of Düsseldorf.

Talking of intense tussles, this year’s MotoGP™ World Riders’ Championship is an absolute thriller, with Italy’s Andrea Dovizioso and Spain’s Maverick Viñales, Marc Márquez and Dani Pedrosa all in the hunt for the title. Of the four pace-setters, Márquez will be the happiest to see Germany’s ultra-quick Sachsenring circuit – the three-time World Riders’ Champion has won the last four MotoGP™ races held on this track.

The world’s top golfers hit Europe for the first of four big-money events in a row. This week, the 2017 HNA Open de France offers a prize fund of $7,000,000 and features two-time major winner Martin Kaymer, world number eight Alex Noren and Spanish sensation Jon Rahm. But that’s not all. It’s also your chance to check out 2018 Ryder Cup venue Le Golf National.

Guangzhou Evergrande are the best football team you’ve never heard of. Not only have they won six consecutive Chinese Super League titles, but they’re also top of this year’s table. So what’s their secret? Simple. They’ve got ex-Chelsea and Brazil boss Luiz Felipe Scolari in the dugout, ex-Tottenham star Paulinho in midfield and former Atlético Madrid striker Jackson Martínez up front. This week “Big Phil” and his boys take on a Tianjin Quanjian side featuring Belgian star Axel Witsel and Brazillian goal-grabber Alexandre Pato.
