The Golden Joystick Awards 2007

Sometimes known as the Oscars of the gaming world, the prestigious Golden Joystick Awards are once again upon us.

If you love gaming and have strong views on which games should bag the top prizes, why not get involved in voting for the winners?

Best of all, by submitting your votes, you will be entered into a prize draw to win tickets to the rather glitzy Golden Joystick Awards ceremony taking place at the Park Lane Hilton in London on Friday 26th October 2007. The night will be hosted by comedian David Mitchell, star of Channel 4's Peep Show and the feature film Magicians.

2007 has been a great year for gaming and the Awards are shaping up to be a real software showdown. Among the 17 awards up for grabs, this year's 'One To Watch' category is entirely populated by hotly anticipated releases including Metal Gear Solid 4, Halo 3 and Grand Theft Auto IV.

Final Fantasy XII

Elsewhere, despite the availability of the super consoles, both the Playstation 2 and PC are still proving to be popular gaming platforms and there are some interesting developments in the 'Ultimate Game of the Year' shortlist which features expansive, fantasy game titles such as Final Fantasy XII, World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade and Gears of War.

You do not have to place a vote in every category to submit your choices and enter the prize draw.
