Spider-Man 3 - have web will travel
The release of Spider-Man 3 in cinemas has already broken box office records around the world – despite critics almost unanimously proclaiming it easily the worst of the series.
As ever, once a familiar franchise becomes popular, it’s very hard to convince people that all that glitters, with the officially licensed logo, is not gold.
In the world of video games, hardcore gamers are well aware of the fact that games licensed from movies are almost always awful.
Movie games
Unfortunately, for the ordinary person, who hasn’t got time to sift through contradictory reviews, they always seem like a safe bet, which is why you always see them at the top of the sales charts and the bottom of the review lists.
There are two very simple reasons why movie games are usually bad: the most obvious and cynical being that publishers know a big name game is going to sell no matter what it's actually like.
The other, slightly more forgivable reason is that once a publisher has paid the enormous sums needed to actually buy the license for the film, they’ve precious little left to hire a top grade developer.
