10. Burnout Paradise (360/PS3)
2008 was meant to be one of the best years ever for video games – and by and large it hasn’t disappointed. Creating a list of the top ten games of the year is a pleasingly difficult one, but the following get our vote. If you disagree, and it’d be inconceivable that you don’t in some way, let us know your favourites below.
Even if this wasn’t a gob-smackingly gorgeous racer with the best crashes in video games (which it is) this would still deserve a spot on the list for its unnaturally generous amount of downloadable content. Not being able to restart a race automatically is annoying, everything else is… heavenly.
