Futuro House
Your clothes, your hair, your car; they all say something about who you are. Well what about the house you live in? Well for some people it’s more than a matter of painting the walls magnolia.
Here is a collection of some of the strangest dwellings from around the globe, each as individual as the owner who commissioned it or the architect who designed it.
This house could only have been designed in the space obsessed 60s but rather than come from California or Cape Canaveral, it was actually the work of a Finnish architect Matti Suuronen in 1968.
Large enough for eight people and fully furnished it was light enough to be transported by helicopter because it was made entirely of plastic which eventually put paid to the project when the oil crisis made it too expensive.
About 100 of these houses have been produced around the world.
