Michael Jackson 1958 - 2009
Shockingly, Michael Jackson's will instructs that his three children be left to singer Diana Ross, if his mum is unable to care for the kids.
We take a look at Michael’s wealth and will, plus crazy beneficiaries of the rich and famous.
With MJ now moon-walking for the big JC, the extended family start to battle it out over the ‘King of Pop’s’ will. Just how much has MJ left to his nearest and dearest? Maybe he's given his millions to a chimpanzee charity, in memory of his beloved Bubbles?
We can divulge that Michael Jackson’s five-page will from 2002, has been filed in a Los Angeles court, leaving all his $618 million assets in the hands of the Michael Jackson Family Trust.
Michael’s mother Katherine Jackson was named the guardian of his three children, but in the will’s most surprising detail Jackson left his three children to singer Diana Ross if Katherine was unable to care for the children. “If any of my children are minors at the time of my death, I nominate my mother, Katherine Jackson as guardian of the persons and estate of such minor children. If Katherine Jackson fails to survive me, or is unable or unwilling to act as guardian, I nominate Diana Ross as guardian of the persons and estates of such minor children,” Jackson’s will stated
According to the will, the document was “amended and restated” on March 22nd, 2002 and executed on July 7th of the same year.
It’s very apparent that Michael had no time for this ex-wife, as he stated: “I have intentionally omitted provide for my former wife, Deborah Jean Rowe Jackson.”
The King of Pop is survived by three children: Michael Joseph Jackson Junior, 12, Paris Michael Katherine Jackson, 11, and Prince “Blanket” Michael Jackson II, 7. Discussions ensue as to who should gain this wealth, and whose custody the children should now be under.
