If you thought Starbucks was expensive, don't order the Luwak coffee from the Peter Jones department store in London - it comes in at £50 a cup! The reason it's so dear is that the Kupi Luwak bean is very rare. What may make it even more unpalatable is the fact that the beans are harvested from the droppings of a tropical cat. Apparently the cats are experts in picking the best beans and their gastric juices add to the flavour. We'll pass on that one.
