Basically, it stinks Too
Basic Instinct 2, the limp sequel to the 1992 Paul Verhoeven bit flashing who-dunnit, cleaned up at the Razzies this year with four awards; Worst Picture, Worst Screenplay, Worst Prequel or Sequel and Worst Actress for leading woman Sharon Stone.
The annual tongue-in-cheek anti-Oscars event was given some star treatment two years ago when Halle Berry turned up and gave an amusing tearful thank you speech after being 'honoured' as Worst Actress for her performance in the universally reviled Catwoman (which interestingly also starred Stone).
Other strong contenders this year were Little Man with three awards; Worst Actor, Worst Screen Couple and Worst Remake/Rip-Off and Lady In The Water with two; Worst Supporting Actor and Worst Director.
Stone was sadly not in attendence to collect the $4.97 award.
