The trailer for the first Star Wars film in almost two decades wasn't just your average movie preview but was a major event in itself, with people seeing certain films simply for a glimpse of said trailer beforehand. What a pity that The Phantom Menace, rather than being the stunning epic we were expecting, was not the film we were looking for after all. Maybe if Jar Jar Binks had featured more in the trailer, we would have been fairly warned. It still hurts, George. Still hurts.
