Synopsis

Bibo Bergeron directs this animated romance set in Paris in 1910. Two friends, cinema projectionist Emile (voiced by Jay Harrington) and delivery driver Raoul (Adam Goldberg), accidentally create a monster that triggers panic on the city's streets.

Spotting an opportunity to further his political career, corrupt chief of police Maynott (Danny Huston) immediately declares the beast Public Enemy Number One and vows to slay it at all costs. But when beautiful cabaret singer Lucille (Vanessa Paradis) offers refuge to the creature, Emile and Raoul realise it may not be the ferocious villain it seems. The supporting voice cast includes Bob Balaban, Sean Lennon and Catherine O'Hara.
