The man credited with reviving the flagging James Bond franchise, Daniel Craig, has just signed up for a further four James Bond movies with the Bond-owning studio MGM.
With his tuxedoed arrival in the re-make of Casino Royale last year, Craig added a gritty and refreshingly brutal side to the super spy; gone were the camp Roger Moore-ish quips and raised eyebrows and back was the fight-or-die bruised knuckles of early Sean Connery.
The currently un-named 22nd Bond movie, led by Stranger Than Fiction director Marc Forster, is currently being filmed in Italy, London, Panama and South Africa and is set for release in the UK on the 7th November 2008.
ER's Goran Visnjic is rumoured to be appearing alongside Craig, Dame Judi Dench (M), Giancarlo Giannini (fixer Mathis) and Jesper Christensen (the mysterious Mr White).
Composer David Arnold is set to do the score and artists rumoured to be in the running for the official Bond theme song are HIM's Ville Valo and last year's X Factor winner Leona Lewis (seriously!).
