Zach Braff wants to spend his life trying to make people laugh.
The 36-year-old star - best known for roles in movies 'Garden State' and 'The Last Kiss' in addition to TV show 'Scrubs' - thinks it is the "coolest" thing to be able to make people cackle, and does not believe he would ever want to do anything else.
He said: "In fifth grade, we had to write a story and read it in front of the class.
"When I read mine out, the class were just belly laughing. And I remember being like, 'This is the coolest!'
"So I want to dedicate my life to trying to make people laugh. I can't imagine doing anything else."
His big break came in medical comedy 'Scrubs', and he reveals it came at the right time as he was running low on funds in his bank.
He told G2: "I had about $250 in my bank account, I was waiting tables and I wasn't getting too many call-backs for TV comedies. I honestly didn't find them funny. And then here was 'Scrubs', and I just thought it was hilarious. But I had no idea it would get such a hardcore, loyal fanbase."
