Ah yes. What a year it was. It's the year other movies wish they had been made in. It's 1977...the year a certain George Lucas unleashed his modest tale about an intergalactic farm boy and his family anxieties unto the world. Steven Spielberg fancied his chances too at the epic sci-fi malarkey and offered us Close Encounters of The Third Kind. Bless him. Meanwhile ol' JT was strutting his stuff like there was no tomorrow in Saturday Night Fever, Sly Stallone was slugging it out in Rocky and there was more of Moore in The Spy Who Loved Me. Good times had by all. What a year!
