At the height of the Spice Girls' fame, Geri Halliwell debuted her iconic Union Jack dress at the BRITs, sealing the quintet's image as flag-bearers for British pop. The dress was auctioned off for charity the following year, with a friend reportedly telling the BBC: "Geri is selling this stuff because the Spice Girls is very much part of her past. The sale underlines a new beginning for her." Needless to say, she was desperate to buy the dress back for the Spice Girls' recent reunion tour.
