Paloma Faith

Born to a Spanish father and English mother, Paloma Faith's love of the performing arts developed at an early age. After studying for a degree in contemporary dance, the songstrel moved on to Saint Martin's College of Art and Design, further fostering her many talents. In order to fund her course, Faith began working at a local pub where she fronted the manager's band, which soon became known as the somewhat phallic Paloma and The Penetrators. A popular fixture on the London cabaret scene, Faith was spotted by a scout from Epic Records and, after turning down an opportunity to join retro jazz performer Amy Winehouse's band, Faith was soon up and running on her own. Time in the studio followed and her debut single Stone Cold Sober showed promise, slipping into 17th position in the UK charts. Her first album Do You Want The Truth Or Something Beautiful hit the shelves in 2009, peaking at Number 9 and heralding the soulful singer a star as it went gold. Further hits have followed, as has a successful acting career with performances in St Trinian's and The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus.
