Sia

Starting out on the Adelaide jazz circuit during the 1990s as a vocalist for the band Crisp. Australian songstress Sia only made it into the mainstream when she moved to the UK. Despite having released a solo album on home turf, once in London she became a backup singer for Jamiroquai, which provided the platform for her debut UK release .Healing Is Difficult was released in 2000 and the single Taken for Granted (2000) reached Number 10 in the UK chart. Following on from this success, Sia worked with William Orbit, Massive Attack and Zero 7 and the track Breathe Me from her album, Colour the Small One, was used in the finale of the 2005 Six Feet Under US drama series. Sia embarked on a successful 2006 tour, and continued to work closely with Zero 7, notably on their album Garden, released the live album Lady Croissant, and in 2008 she recorded Some People Have Real Problems.
