Sculptor and photographer Andy Goldsworthy is the nimble-fingered architect behind this prairie snapshot chosen by The Maccabees to grace the cover of their new album. Taken from a series of pictures capturing the untamed American Midwest, it's a literal representation of the title but scratch beneath the surface and it pervades the content too. Sprawling, emotive soundscapes bolster the band's freer, epic sound and document their journey from short-trousered indie kids to tapered-chino-wearing chin-strokers. The quintet are no strangers to the art of music either; their second album Wall Of Arms showed the band getting splodged in paint by artist Boo Ritson.
