Back in ye olden days before a wicked ogre named Simon Cowell ruled the land, it used to be fun to speculate about who would be Christmas No.1. The Grinch Cowell has stolen away that innocent pleasure and with the exception of 2009, when the David of Rage Against The Machine slew the giant of, er, Joe McElderry, the X Factor winner has triumphed with monotonous regularity – so don't bet against Little Mix coming out on top this time.
