Another in a long line of classical/pop crossover artists, the 18 year-old New Zealand-born Westenra simply has the voice of an angel, which she puts to good use on this, her second album.
Embracing classical, pop, hymns and folk in fairly equal measure she tackles a number of bog-standard classics including Ave Maria, the traditional folk tune She Moves Through The Fair - which is admittedly marvellous to behold - and Joni "Goddess" Mitchell's Both Sides Now, which adds little to the original and certainly comes nowhere near to surpassing it.
There is the must-have duet for any female artist in this area of music, namely with Andrea Bocelli on Dell' Amore Non Si Sa.
Apparently well on her way to stardom - her first album has sold more than two million copies - Hayley has already sung for prime ministers and presidents: Tony Blair and George W Bush. I'd leave those off your CV, if I were you dear...
