The ex-Mrs Hart gets it all off her chest

So What will go down as one of the greatest break-up songs ever – or if not certainly one of the most riotous. Her split with pro biker Carey Hart is very much the driving force of Funhouse but anyone expecting more of the same chant-along swagger of the single will be disappointed.

Instead of being the opening track, So What would have worked better as a triumphant "f*** you" closer because throughout the rest of the album P!nk runs the gamut of emotions experienced by the messily separated, from denial (Please Don't Leave Me – which has a fantastic New Order-esque bassline) to unhinged alcoholic (Bad Influence) via potential arsonist (Funhouse) and murderer (It's All Your Fault).

Surprisingly it's the ballads that are the stand outs – I Don't Believe You and Crystal Ball are simple but real tearjerkers that amply demonstrate that P!nk is far more than an average pop brat.
