The Dolls are back, and this time they're "preddy" good
For much of the past two years you'd be forgiven for thinking The Pussycat Dolls no longer existed as a going concern, with all five members working on solo careers. While Nicole Scherzinger guested on so many singles she might as well have changed her first name to Featuring, none of the Dolls have made an impact in their own right.
Still, the fact that they're still together isn't the most surprising thing about Doll Domination. The real shock is that it's good.
When I Grow Up is reminiscent of Girls Aloud at their cheekiest – and who can resist that line "I wanna have boobies"? Hilarious. But also great are mobile-in-the-air epic Happily Never After and Out Of This Club, a bump-and-grind slowie featuring Uncle Digusting (or R Kelly if you prefer) which rhymes the words dirty (derdy) and pretty (prerdy).
Throughout, it's all entertaining and fun. A damn fine pop album.
