Fame Academy winner Alex Parks joins the thin ranks of talent show contestants who've made it through to their second album, and this is the first single to be unveiled from said LP (named Honesty). It's no major diversion from what you'd expect - a kind of Alanis Morissette meets Melissa Etheridge ballad with a bittersweet, anthemic chorus. Parks' voice is distinctive enough to stand out from the crowd, though, and the production is surprisingly understated for this kind of thing - facts which will both work in her favour when it comes to appealing to the adult market.
