Signed to P Diddy's Bad Boy label, a simmering controversy has surrounded young singer Cassie over in the States, where she's now fairly established. Why? Well, some tone deaf live performances and an early Me & U video best described as "low budget" and "a bit tawdry" have put some fair-sized dents in her reputation. It can't help that she's also a former model, and that this song is rumoured to be about her, ahem, "fellatory prowess" ("I'll love you all the way down", she sings). Never mind all that, though - we rather like Cassie's disarmingly coy vocals and the minimal, crunky vibes of this song. It might take a few listens to sink in, but there's a certain seductive quality to this track that we'd rather guiltily enjoy than scrutinize too much.
