Damon Albarn and his two-dimensional cohorts cough up the goods once again, even topping the magnificent Feel Good Inc with this hypnotic, disco-infused follow-up. The weary strains of Shaun Ryder's guest vocals may be slightly at odds with the track's glitterball funk of toe-tapping beats, booty-jiggling bass and sparkling synths, not to mention Albarn's tight-trousered falsetto, but after a few listens its these unusual, clashing elements which make Dare such a compelling listen. Cracking stuff.
