Staines Mercury Prize nominees Hard-Fi have quite a dominant message on their debut LP, which is captured neatly in this new single: work sucks, being broke sucks, but there's always the thrill of going out at the weekend. Separate the lyrics from the music, of course, and you've got yourself a cheesy dancefloor anthem: "Feel the pressure rising/Push it down... Going out tonight, going out tonight/ Baby you and I going out tonight". Still, it's somewhat redeemed by the soaring strings and danceable bass, but lacks the addictiveness of their standout track to date, Hard To Beat.
