V Festival was once again a roaring success this year with both sites at Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Staffs beating the horrendous weather conditions that have dogged so many other festivals this summer.
And with so many big names in music packed together for one weekend, there was bound to be some gossip to report...
- Lily Allen was as lively and outspoken as ever on Sunday, telling the crowd "I’ve had a couple of interesting weeks. I’ve been sick, I’ve been carried home in a bag and banned from America." She also ironically dedicated Everything’s Just Wonderful to skinny female celebrities who she claimed all have drug habits.
- In Chelmsford, Foo Fighters played a secret afternoon set under the pseudonym 606. To the delight of a small crowd, Dave Grohl led his band through a series of acoustic-based sets before their headline appearance, during which Grohl pulled his mum up on stage to sing to her.
- Festival-goers at Weston Park welcomed Mika up on stage by singing Happy Birthday. The Grace Kelly singer was also joined on stage at Hylands Park by Sophie Ellis-Bextor, who wore full babydoll regalia.
- Celebrity attendees spotted this year were Peter Kay introducing James onto the stage, Matt Lucas jigging along to the Foo Fighters and Rupert Grint watching Pink.
- Kate Moss was also at Hylands Park in trademark wellies and dark glasses, making sure she didn't bump into old flame Pete Doherty. The Babyshambles frontman, meanwhile, was seen cuddling up to Romanian-born supermodel Irina Lazareanu.
- Snow Patrol singer Gary Lightbody dedicated their first song to Dave Grohl. Cue the Foo Fighters main man running on stage to give Lightbody a big hug.
- Also spotted: a former Pop Idol star safety-pinning a backstage pass to his wristband and a Big Brother 7 blonde being denied VIP tent access. The humanity!
