string(1859) " Big Brother is heading back to our screens at the beginning of June for its 10th year, as a new batch of housemates vie to be the 2009 reality show champion. And although last year's winner Rachel Rice proved once again that the nice guy, or in this case girl, usually triumphs, there is no doubt that this year's Channel 4 show will once again provide the normal mix of the good, the bad and the bland, with rows, oddball behaviour and maybe even some romance. The show's host Davina McCall feels that after a decade, Big Brother has become a British institution. And she promised to keep hosting the reality TV show as long as viewers wanted to watch it and confessed she would be sad if she had to stop. She said: "If people stop watching it then we'll stop making it, I'll be very sad though when that happens, it'll be quite weird - I'll have another job hopefully, but summer won't be summer without it, it has become like an institution just like the autumn is The X Factor and Strictly." Davina went on: "Honestly we've got next year and then we'll have to wait and see - if people are still watching it, which hopefully they will be, then I don't see why it can't go on." Viewers will get a double dose of Davina on Friday nights this year, as she presents the latest eviction before hosting Big Brother's Big Mouth. The discussion show will switch to a weekly E4 slot, while BB fans will get more of George Lamb as he returns with Big Brother's Little Brother. In the build-up to the new series, and to mark the 10th year of BB, Channel 4 is also planning a couple of spin-off programmes, including a special Big Brother quiz, hosted by Davina and featuring plenty of ex housemates. And diehard fans will once again be able to watch live streaming from the house overnight once the show begins.
