Tuffers' Tips: West Indies Test series

VM: Now the same for the West Indies - best batsman?

PT: "A good outside bet would be someone like Devon Smith, who they're looking to bat at number three. Chris Gayle will get a good score somewhere, but can be a bit hit and miss, while Ramnaresh Sarwan has a lot to prove as new captain, which may affect him."

VM: And bowler?

PT: "Take yer pick they've all been rubbish recently! I think the best bet looks to be Jerome Taylor, who was a bit unlucky in the first test but showed some promise."

VM: With Ryan Sidebottom the surprise package, would you have a punt on him to have a good series?

PT: "As a leftie, he'll give their guys something different to deal with. If he stays in the team for the series, I think it's definitely worth sticking a fiver on him to take a 5 wicket haul in one of the matches.."

VM: What about a bet on someone scoring more than 400 runs in the series?

PT: "Well, you can take your pick really, there's a few England boys who could do it with the way they started off. They'll be queuing up I'm telling you! So I reckon the best bet there would be for more than 3 to score 400 in the series."

VM: There's a lot of talk about Allan Donald becoming the new England bowling coach. Can you see that happening?

PT: "Peter Moores is starting to get his own back-room staff gathered together and Allan has stated his interest. It's just down to whether it fits into Moores' plans, but as one of the greatest bowlers of all time, you can't go far wrong really. I'd back it to happen."
