VM: What about Michael Vaughan's status as captain if he's still struggling to stay fit come the end of the summer Test Matches?
PT: "That's a tricky one, because he does seem to be struggling at the moment. They have to make a decision about the one-day captaincy anyway which I don't think will be Vaughan.
But the Test game is his speciality and I think he'll get some big scores in this series. If that has the desired calming effect on a clearly unsettled team, I think he'll stay for another year or two."
VM: Who will be the new one-day captain?
PT: "I'm in no doubt that it should be Andrew Strauss. He's done a good job in filling in for Vaughan in various situations."
VM: Do you have three quirkier bets to have a go at for the series?
PT: "Oo, blimey…(pained thinking noises)…Maybe an opening partnership over 100 or 150, the West Indies to be bowled out for a low score (maybe something like 80-90) and then an accumulator on the Man of the Match for each of the remaining games."
VM: Ok, thanks Phil. Enjoy the series!
PT: "Cheers!"
