Winning £1.9 million caused a life of misery for young Callie Rogers that led to a suicide attempt in 2005. After winning the Lottery at 16, the teenager from Cumbria claimed she was driven to despair by bullies in the street calling her names and a string of problems in her home life. She eventually took an overdose of painkillers and sleeping pills and was found unconscious in her bedroom by a boyfriend. She pulled through but told The News Of The World after the incident: "I did it because winning the Lottery has ruined my life - I wish I had never won".
