McClaren's double dutch

Is there no end to the lengths this man will go to in order to make a fool of himself?

During his ill-fated spell as England boss, Steve McClaren gave umbrellas a bad name and covered up his inadequacies with ‘looking for positives’, bringing Max Clifford on board and whitening his teeth.

Now manager of Twente Enschede, his efforts to ingratiate himself with the Dutch seem to consist of talking to them in a bizarre fake accent reminiscent of Austin Powers’ Goldmember, with lots of ‘for sure’s and ‘also’s. All that’s missing are references to coffee shops and clogs.

Share your views on McClaren’s accent tomfoolery: just how excruciating was it?
