Maria Antonia

Maria sang the Brazilian National Anthem at an international game

Born but not bred in Rio, Maria moved with her family to London at the tender age of 4.

Despite growing up in England, she has managed to keep her love of all things Brazilian including, of course, its most famous export - football.

Keen to get involved in the sport in any way she can, Maria is proud to have sang the Brazilian National Anthem at an international game and if that wasn't enough, she's trodden the pitch and even scored a goal in the world famous Maracana Stadium. Maria also played for Watford Ladies a few years ago.

Back in 2005, Maria recorded the vocals for the worldwide Peroni Nastro Azzuro. The ad was voted by the New York Times as the 'Best TV Commercial in 2006'.

Now presenting Virgin Media she is happier than ever to be able to talk about one of her favourite subjects.
