Trulli is truly an enigma - many still see him as a potential champion but after a decade in F1 he may well have blown his chances.
Too often the Italian has flattered to deceive, often putting in good qualifying performances, but failing to deliver when it came to the race.
One notable exception was the Monaco GP in 2004, when he drove a magnificent race to hold off Jenson Button to take his only win.
Despite two points finishes with the new Toyota, he has looked a tired player and will need to produce far more if he is to stay at the sharp end of F1.
