As the younger brother of multiple championship winner Michael, Ralf has had a lot to live up to, and although he has won races in the past it now looks as though he has peaked.
His early years saw pace and shunts at Jordan, with real front-running at Williams before his move to the Cologne-based Toyota team.
Schumacher bagged just 20 points in 2006 and only one podium finish in what was another disappointing season for Toyota.
As for whether 2007 will be any better, that will all depend on whether Toyota can finally produce a race-winning car - something F1's biggest spenders have yet to do.
