The rise of Formula 1's first Polish driver has been nothing short of meteoric - and great things are expected of the exciting Kubica in 2007.
After winning the 2005 Formula Renault series, he became BMW's test driver, and was soon called in to replace the the injured Jacques Villeneuve
He surprised and impressed many when he finished third in the Italian Grand Prix, only his second F1 race, and Villeneuve was swiftly informed that his servicers were no longer required.
It's easy to forget that this year is his first full season of F1, but many pundits believe he is the one man capable of the pace and verve to challenge the Ferraris and McLarens and perhaps win a grand prix in 2007.
