Could this be the year that Takuma Sato really rescues his reputation, after years of being known as little more than a crash machine?.
Now revelling in being team leader at Super Aguri, he is enjoying early season form of outqualifying and racing the works Hondas and looks like being in the points sooner rather than later.
It has taken a while for him to mature - his early years with Jordan and then BAR saw him show terrific pace and racing talent but a tendency to get involved in shunts too often for comfort.
Honda finally lost patience at the end of 2005, and were pressured into setting up Super Aguri virtually on his behalf - but Sato could well have the last laugh in 2007.
