Surely things can't get any worse for Williams? After a 2006 season that under the old points system would have seen them score just two points, they must have been thinking that.
Early season promise would seem to suggest that the Toyota-powered 2007 models are more competitive, and Rosberg's youthful speed allied to Wurz's wily experience is a good combination.
The German looks the more likely to break through, and if they can develop the car a little then he could well be the best of the midfield runners and maybe challenge Renault and BMW.
The glory days of the 80s and 90s are long gone, but don't rule out another coming for Williams after having hit rock bottom last year.
