Places to stay
Small inns for overnight stops aren't hard to come by as you tour Pas de Calais. Two particularly worth seeking out are Wimereux's lovely L'Hotel du Centre, a colourful little hotel with the bonus of a truly excellent on-site restaurant. For a more rural retreat, the quiet L'Auberge du Moulin d'Audenfort at Audenfort is a picture of countryside bliss – a rambling building next with a stream and its own waterwheel right outside the veranda.
