Alex Reid has been crowned the winner of the last Celebrity Big Brother on Channel 4. Initially considered the least likely to win, the boyfriend of Katie 'Jordan' Price had entered the house to a chorus of boos. But, he turned public opinion around and bagged an astonishing 65% of the final vote.
Leaving the house to ecstatic cheers Alex told Davina that Vinnie Jones had been "an absolute inspiration" and that he loved Katie Price, much to the chagrin of the crowd who booed ferociously.
Former boyband member Dane Bowers was named runner-up, telling Davina he'd had a great time and had thoroughly enjoyed his role as house chef. He ended his interview by saying he hoped he'd have the confidence to start singing again.
Hardnut footballer turned hardman Hollywood star Vinnie Jones took third place, much to his and Alex Reid's astonishment. His initial reaction was to grumble about having to wait half an hour before being evicted. He left the house to a chorus of pantomime boos but seemed to take it in good faith. He told Davina he'd brought some "locker room banter" to the house and that he'd taught Alex Reid "everything he knows".
Jonas 'Basshunter' Altberg came in fourth place. When Davina quizzed him about his mini-romance with Katia Ivanova, he told her he was over it, adding, "there are a lot of beautiful girls out there". Davina then showed him a tabloid headline in which Katia had said she was in love with him. His response? "Too late baby." Jonas' interview concluded with him enthusiastically shouting "I'm 25, I'm from Sweden and I love farts."
The evening started with glamorous actress Stephanie Beacham taking fifth place. She told Davina she'd had a great time in the house and had made some good friends.
