Sky Anytime on Virgin Media TV and online

We've expanded our already-brilliant Catch Up and On Demand service with Sky Anytime, allowing Virgin Media TV customers access to even more TV treasures, ready to be watched at any time you want. So now you have even less reason to stick to that rigid TV schedule. That’s right, we’re literally thinking outside ‘the box’.

Virgin Media TV customers can now view hundreds of extra hours of their favourite shows from Sky1, Sky LIVING, and Sky Arts for free! Basically, whichever subscription you have with us, if you have a channel as part of your TV package, you will have access to the channel’s content in our On Demand service as well, at no extra cost. For example, a customer who subscribes to TV M+ and receives Sky1 as part of their package will also be able to access Sky1 On Demand content for no added cost!

You can even watch some of the newest and biggest shows, like Glee, Fringe, Modern Family and even Steven Spielberg’s brand new epic sci-fi series Terra Nova, all within hours of their first showing.

Even better, this service isn’t only available on that magical box in the corner of your living room. These shows are also accessible online through the Virgin Media Player. So don’t bother with the hassle of fighting family members over the remote – simply split up and watch your favourite shows separately at the same time. Y’see, we’re all about family.

And that’s not all. If you are a Virgin Media TV XL customer and you subscribe to the Sky Movies Collection, you can now access hundreds more movies from Sky Anytime, meaning that you can catch all the great films you missed at the cinema, any day of the week from the comfort of your own sofa and bowl of popcorn. What does it carry?

It carries programmes from the Sky Channels that are available through Virgin Media’s TV service:

• A selection of Sky1, Sky LIVING, Sky Arts, Sky News programmes are available. If you subscribe to the channel as part of your TV package, you will have access to the channel’s content in On Demand as well. At no extra cost.
• A selection of Sky Movies titles are available at no extra cost to Sky Movies Collection customers (SD only)

How many hours of programmes are there?

There are several hundred hours of TV shows and movies available to watch instantly, a selection that will be refreshed with fresh programmes every week.

And is Sky Anytime also available on the Virgin Media Player?

Yes it is – customers have access to pretty much all the same programmes through Virgin Media Player following the launch of the TV On Demand service. To watch, go to: www.virginmedia.com/player.

How does Sky Anytime On Virgin Media differ from Sky Anytime and Sky Anytime+ on the Sky Platform?

For the channels that Virgin Media carry (Sky1, Sky Living, Sky Arts, Sky News, Sky Movies & Sky Sports), Sky Anytime On Virgin Media carries pretty much all the same programmes as the Sky Anytime and Sky Anytime+ service on the Sky Platform. There may be a very small number of exceptions owing to some rights clearances.
