VM: Rory, Sir Alan said your management style was like David Brent's?
Rory: "Oh, he nicked that quote from someone else. No imagination that fellow!"
VM: What do you think of Sir Alan now?
David: "I think Richard Branson is my new favourite entrepreneur!"
VM: How did you celebrate/mourn being evicted?
Rory: "I went to a bar with two pretty young girls I know from York. I had a fabulous time. No point in dwelling on things is there?"
VM: Was Sir Alan right to fire you?
Rory: "No. I was dumped on. Obviously I failed the task but the show was edited to make me look like a dictatorial k**b. It didn't show you any of the sales tasks which I was very good on."
VM: Will you be going for a drink with Tre anytime soon?
Rory: "Unlikely. He's a Muslim. He doesn't drink. I'd willingly do a parachute jump with him though. I'd be gutted if his parachute didn't open!"
VM: You were declared bankrupt a few years ago. Now you've lost The Apprentice. You must be thoroughly depressed?
Rory: "Life goes on. I am sick of the attitude towards young entrepreneurs in this country though. No one is willing to take a risk. It sickens me. I might move to America. They're far more positive over there."
VM: So, what are your plans now?
Rory: "I've been working on setting up the London Zeppelin for 2008. There's four of them in the world. I'm trying to bring over the German one. We would fly people across London for £50. I think it would greatly enhance London's tourism. But we're getting a bit of opposition from a local Working Party in Blackheath who are opposed to it. People would board the Zeppelin at Blackheath you see but the local residents don't want a blot on the landscape. 12th April is when the decision is made."
VM: Do you think The Apprentice actually teaches you anything about business?
Rory: "I think it can instill confidence in you if you succeed in the tasks. At a grass roots level it's basically about making money and it's quite good at showing you that. For instance next week candidates are given £200 and told to go out and make money. That's essentially what business is all about."
VM: Have you been offered any jobs since leaving?
Rory: "Yes, as the face of the Channel Island tourist board. I think I'll pass."
VM: And finally, if you could meet Sir Alan again, what would you say?
Rory: Oh dear. Well, the thing I was going to say will make me sound like c**k. So I'd just say.'Thanks for the opportunity Sir Alan.'
