Apprentice loser: "Sir Alan got it right."

Trained lawyer Anita Shah became the first person to be fired by Sir Alan Sugar from the new series of The Apprentice.

We caught up with Anita for an exclusive chat to find out what she thinks of the other Apprentices and what it's like being the first evictee.

How does it feel being the first person voted off the series?
It's pretty gutting. You think you're gonna make an impact but then you're out in the first one.

Do you think fellow Apprentice Deborah was a bit of a snake in the grass in the boardroom?
Yes I do. I didn't want to just blame the other two girls. I was honest and I told the truth. Let's see where that gets me in life.

Do you think you were acting naively?
No I don't think I was. I wish I had been the team leader so I could have done more.

Do you think Sir Alan got it right?
Yes I do although I do think the other two girls were more culpable. When we were washing the cars, I think Mona and Deborah should have shown more leadership. There was no business plan.

Why do you think Sir Alan will regret not keeping you?
I feel I have a lot more to give although let's be realistic, Sir Alan is hardly going to think in a year's time that he missed out on hiring Anita Shah.

Who do you think will win the series?
Difficult to say but I think the girls have the edge.

Why did you say that Sir Alan doesn't like lawyers?
You wouldn't have seen this but he said that he didn't need another lawyer. I think it's because lawyers are naturally cautious and Sir Alan likes risk takers.
