“I have a meeting with Donald Trump”

Marketing Consultant Kimberly Davis has become the fifth person to be fired by Sir Alan Sugar.

We pinned down the first American to wangle herself a place on The Apprentice to talk about breakfast cereal, betrayal and business with Donald Trump…

Did Sir Alan make the right decision?
Absolutely not, I think there were definitely people in there that deserved to go before me.

Who should have been fired?
Lorraine. She didn’t offer anything to the team in any of the tasks that I’ve been involved with her on.

If you felt the concept was wrong why didn’t you put a stop to it?
I think Philip intimidated the rest of the team and as a result when I tried to get additional ideas on the table everybody was dead silent.

Were you proud of anything you did in this task?
Just the advert. Unfortunately I have to say it’s been the most embarrassing moment of my career.

What was at the route of Philip and Lorraine’s feud?
Several people in the house didn’t care for Lorraine. Philip hasn’t cared for her as far back as I can remember. I defended her against everybody. I was truly her friend in the house.

You didn’t seem to be friends in the boardroom?
I found it such a betrayal that she turned on me. I had done nothing but support Lorraine. I was her champion and defender.

Do you think Kate and Philip would make a good couple?
I really was dying to play match maker in that house and help them out because, you know, love is a beautiful thing.

What are you plans now?
I have is a meeting with Donald Trump – it’s a very casual meeting – there’s no business lined up or anything, but he’s been kind enough to allow me to meet with him next time I’m in New York and I’m really looking forward to that.

How did that come about?
I called him and said I’m a New Yorker, I’m the only American ever to get on The Apprentice in the UK, I’d really appreciate your support, and he said “Sure, come on in”, so we’re just going to bond.

Who do you think will win the series?
I’m really hoping James wins the series. Despite his lack of communication skills in the boardroom, he’s actually a brilliant guy who offers a lot to the team that he’s on.
